Streamlined drop-off services, new family facilities, and new food options will be accommodate for jet setters.
A new taxi drop off zone with an improved international boarding gate and queuing system will aim to lower congestion.
The expansion will include immigration processing and a security screening space, as well as an expanded duty-free and children play area.
The Virgin Australia Lounge will be relocated, and VIP facilities will also be located in the precinct.
Destination dining is a distinct aspect of South Australian culture, and the expansion provides the best on offer.
The new venues including Penfolds, Maggie Beer, Jamface by Poh and The Pantry by Callum Hann, promoting local fine wine and produce.
Perhaps the most unique aspect of the expansion is the new ‘Precinct Adelaide Kitchen’, a space emulating Adelaide’s eclectic bar-lined laneways.
The original venues will not be left untouched, beloved Cooper Ale House will also be renovated as a part of the expansion.
From the sleek design of the facade and the look of the concept photos, the expansion promises to be an exciting venture for South Australian tourism and to ease the panic that can accompany international travel.
The first stages of concourse refurbishment including new retail spaces are anticipated to be open in the following months, early 2020.
