If you didn’t get your fix of black T-shirts and tough looking dudes at ACDC then you are in luck as Clipsal 500 is coming to town.
This is a super-charged, testosterone fuelled motor racing event which features one of the rounds of the V8 Supercar Championship Series. According to motor racing’s legendary Murray Walker, it’s the greatest touring car event in the world. Adelaide’s internationally acclaimed street circuit is something we have all become accustomed to and don’t we love to hate the road closures!
Four days of V8 Supercar action, extreme machines, eight racing categories, grid girls, on-track stunts, spectacular air shows, Murray Walker’s Extreme Machines and the best support race program in the nation. Even if you are not a motor head you are guaranteed to get a rush of adrenaline when you hear those engines fire up for the first time and scream past you at an average speed of 180km/hour.
When the race day has come to an end you can stay trackside for the nightly after race concerts. The line up includes some awesome Australian acts including Eskimo Joe, British India, Hilltop Hoods, Lowrider, Midnight Juggernauts, The Idols, Status Quo, Ian Moss, Noiseworks, Mental as Anything and more! Also this year one of SA’s most loved fireworks displays the SAFM Skyshow returns to the skies after the Idols concert on Saturday night.
This is a great event for all ages featuring a Family Play Zone, Cool Zone and even a Bling Bling room for us girls to get a quick makeover! This is absolute value for money with racing, entertainment and the inclusion of entry to see some top Aussie bands.
