Adelaide artist, John Freeman has partnered exclusively with Moment Watches to launch the world’s first watch brand inspired by stories of love, relationships and new beginnings.
Having successfully hosted its global launch at Sydney’s Museum of Contemporary Art last week, Moment Watches has marked its status in the watch market as the brand inspired by creativity and innovation. Media, students, and art lovers alike gathered at the prestige event to witness the collaboration.
Following his work as an art teacher for the majority of his adult life, Freeman’s inspiration is drawn from the work of his students, incorporating the use of intense colours, strong lineal elements, and storytelling in the product’s design. He explained:
“I designed the range to reflect self-expression and individuality, and have achieved this by capturing unique moments in a selection of bold illustrations. My aim was to provide a contemporary watch that extended to a full customer experience and capture a sense of community.”
In line with the storytelling theme of Freeman’s works, the collection comes in three “stories”. Each is beautifully presented in a large format mock book, which also comprises a second easel for displaying the watches – making it the perfect gift and collector’s item.
The John Freeman Collection comes in male and female designs and can be personalised through its interchangeable wristbands, available in a variety of bright leathers and glow-in-the-dark synthetics.
Moment Watches offers modern designs, technical precision and distinctive aesthetics that tell a meaningful story.
Each watch is made with a rubber coated case, stainless steel buckle and case back, Japan made Miyota 3H movement and is water resistant up to 30 meters. One leather and one specially designed rubber strap is provided with each watch.
