Adelaide brothers Michael and Danny Philippou, known for their smash-hit horror film “Talk To Me”, have announced they have begun pre-production works on their next film, “Bring Her Back”.
Michael and Danny (known on YouTube as RackaRacka) shared the news via Instagram, saying: “WE’RE SHOOTING ANOTHER HORROR MOVIE!! Pre-Production has just begun on “Bring Her Back”. So nervous/scared/excited/scared/scared/scared!!”
Two-time Oscar nominee Sally Hawkins, known for her role in “The Shape of Water”, is set to star in the lead role, with the rest of the cast members remaining under wraps.
“Bring Her Back” will be produced by Causeway Films’ Samantha Jennings and Kristina Ceyton, the powerhouse producers behind “Talk To Me”, along with other famous horror films including “The Babadook” and “The Nightingale”.
Details about the plot of the new film have yet to be shared, but little bits of information have emerged, offering a glimpse into the film that is sure to send chills down audiences spine.
The Philippou brothers’ new film comes following the success of “Talk To Me,” which follows a group of teenagers who discover they are able to contact spirits using a strange hand that’s been cut off and preserved.
“Talk to Me” was first shown at the Adelaide Film Festival in October 2022, before it went on to dominate AACTA Awards and become a huge office box office success, grossing over $90 million worldwide.
Originally from Pooraka, twin brothers Michael and Danny Philippou have made a name for themselves on the global film stage, drawing from their YouTube roots as RackaRacka, where they’ve amassed more than 6.7 million subscribers. Their content includes pranks and stunts, and with over a billion views, sent them to online stardom.
As the Philippou brothers embark on the beginning works of their latest movie “Bring Her Back,” anticipation is high for the horrifying masterpiece that is sure to leave fans on the edge of their seats. The official release date is yet to be announced.
