This new company is quite literally lighting our fire!
Reflamed candle company will soon launch out of Adelaide with five delicious-sounding signature scents and eco-friendly packaging.
The first product drop will see candles of coconut lime, passionfruit, raspberry vanilla, chai latte, and French vanilla flavours to fill any room in your house with sweet scents.
The hand-poured candles are not only made with love and yummy smells, though; They’re also environmentally friendly, with holders made from repurposed beer, cruiser, and wine bottles. With bright labels, printed cork tops, and quality glass holders, the candles’ recycled packaging is good for the earth and good on the eyes.
Company founder, 19-year-old Abby Nicolle, who runs the company with partner Ryan McPherson, didn’t initially intend for Reflamed to be a large-scale company.
“I started Reflamed as a passion project with my love for candles, creativity and sustainability,” Nicolle says.
“I never thought to partner with Ryan, but with his natural entrepreneurial and business mindset, he joined in the project with a goal to make it a larger business.”
Although all of the candles surely smell delicious, Nicolle and McPherson have personal favourites.
“My personal favourite scent is ‘French Vanilla,’ and Ryan’s favourite scent is ‘Raspberry Vanilla,’” she says.
“We enjoy experimenting with different scents, and can’t wait to see which ones become our biggest sellers.”
The young owner, who has a background in hospitality and childcare, hopes Reflamed’s dedication to sustainability becomes a common theme among businesses.
“I naturally have a love for candles, and because I have an interest in using sustainable materials, I liked the idea of transforming something that had already been manufactured rather than using new materials,” Nicolle says.
“There is currently a lot of talk about climate change, and if everyone makes some daily changes and buys more sustainably, then collectively we can have a big impact.”
Reflamed Candles is expected to officially launch mid-September, and they’re currently taking orders online. If you sign up online, you receive 50% off your first order.
