Deliveroo is answering all your burger dreams in the lead up to National Burger Day on Sunday, 28 May.
Introducing National Burger Week from Monday, 22 May to Sunday, 28 May, where the on-demand food delivery service is offering an entire week of exclusive bespoke burgers from 23 restaurant partners around the country.
Participating restaurants include a mix of established burger institutions through to premium food brands where burgers are a culinary clash. Customers can expect unconventional flavour profiles and food combinations which channel various cultures and styles of cooking.
Surprise contenders include Popcorn Chicken Burger from Zushi, Ice Cream Cookie Burger from Ben & Jerry’s, Salmon Burger from Poked, and Cheeseburger Spring Roll from China Diner to name a few.
Adding their own twist to the take-out classic, Adelaide’s National Burger Week partners include the following dishes, even from those who normally wouldn’t sell a burger.
Polpette Sugo Burger – Slow cooked port and veal meatballs with 3 cheeses
Veggie Quinoa Sushi Burger – VGO (Vegan option)with lettuce, inari, cucumber, avocado and seasoned with white sesame seed. – this is a perfect vegan option with a healthy twist.
Aburi Salmon Burger – with snow peas, tobikko (salmon eggs), cucumber, avocado, miso aioli, salmon (aburi), glazed with white sesame seeds and unagi sauce with fried tamagoyaki chips on the side. You have to try our burgers and chips Sushi Planet style!
Mighty Size – Tender beef patty, melting Mexican cheese topped with housemade chipotle mayo, and handmade onion rings. Served with crisp salad, and juicy tomato slices on a lightly toasted bun.
Greek Chicken Burger – Chicken and zucchini pattie with avocado, lettuce and dairy free tzatziki on a gluten-free seed bread.

Oporto are doing a limited edition burger exclusively for South Australia. It’s a Portuguese Pulled Chicken Burger packing a subtle hit of jalapeno & lime sauce, creamy mayo and crunchy slaw in a sesame bun.
Try their Chicken Burger – buttermilk fried chicken tenderloins with creamy chipotle slaw. Or if you’re feeling adventurous (or you’re vegetarian), have a crack at their Bean Burger, Mexican chilli bean with sour cream, guacamole, salsa & coriander.
Hahndorf bacon, dijon mustard, provolone, onion jam, pickled cucumber, baby cos & smoked tomato relish on a toasted sourdough bun served with chips
When you want a good ‘ol fashion flame-grilled burger at the pub, this is it. It has bacon, cheese, caramelised onion and a secret “burger sauce”.
You can build your own burger using one of The Mile End’s four bases. Add your protein and then finish off with a selection of toppings.
