The arrival of South Australian strawberry season calls for a grand celebration, and what better way to do so than with a live cooking demonstration led by renowned Masterchef and Pick a Local, Pick SA! brand ambassador, Callum Hann?
The Adelaide Central Market is hosting a celebration at the Community Kitchen stage on November 10th from 12pm until 2pm for an exciting culinary showcase that highlights the local gems – SA-grown strawberries.
The event promises to be fun for viewers, with Callum Hann creating a dish that beautifully features these seasonal strawberries. As the aroma of ripe berries fills the air, food enthusiasts can learn from a master chef and discover innovative ways to incorporate strawberries into their own creations.
But that’s not all; the celebration goes beyond the kitchen. SA strawberry growers will also be showing their support for the Little Heroes Foundation. Attendees will have the chance to meet brand ambassador Tony Modra and Founder Chris McDermott, who will engage in a bake-off judged by none other than Callum Hann.
The friendly competition is sure to add an extra layer of excitement to the event.
This event serves as an excellent opportunity for the community to connect with local growers and celebrate the bountiful SA-grown strawberries.
As these delicious berries take centre stage, attendees can learn more about the dedication and hard work that goes into producing this seasonal delight.
The Adelaide Central Market, hosting this exciting celebration, is a vibrant hub featuring over 70 traders, making it one of the largest undercover fresh produce markets in the Southern Hemisphere.
It offers a diverse range of fresh foods, from fruits and vegetables to meat, seafood, cheeses, and more. Additionally, visitors can savour multicultural cuisines and enjoy a variety of cafes and eateries.
