Inspired by the fragile wings of a woodland faery who falls in love with a young man lost in the woods, the
Paolo Sebastian Autumn / Winter 2017 collection features intricate hand-embroidery, French tulle and iridescent beading.
In tones of rose gold, lavender and storm grey the delicate pieces pay homage to the fragile nature of the wing of the dragonfly.
Stand out pieces include a winged petal skirt gown, a beaded rose gold gown with cape and an embroidered lavender wing sleeve gown.
Signature fishtail and ball gown silhouettes are paired with sheer paneling and elaborate gossamer and wing-inspired beadwork, celebrating the attention to detail that the label is known for.
“With each collection that we release we are trying to do something new and even better than the last,” Vasileff said. “I want my designs to capture the imagination and allow people to dream.”
“Paris is the epicentre of the fashion world. This really feels like an introduction into that world.”
Other celebrities who have worn Paolo Sebastian include Kris Jenner, Dannii Minogue, Indian actress Sonam Kapoor and Australian television identities Megan Gale and Carrie Bickmore.
