Adelaide Fashion Festival Emerging Designer Awards 2012

The Adelaide Fashion Festival Emerging Designer Awards is back again for the 2012 festival.

The Awards have been established to showcase the talents of South Australia’s up and coming fashion designers by providing a platform to exhibit and reward the latest designs of South Australia’s best emerging designers.

With past winners including Cameo (Melanie Flintoft) in 2009, that went on to become a global success (even the Kardashians are wearing the label!), Jaimie Sortino in 2010, who launched a successful couture label in Adelaide (and is worn by Delta Goodrem), and Necia (Alexandra Ireland) in 2011, who was runner up in the Launch Your Label Australia competition in August 2012 – the awards provide a fantastic launching pad for designers in South Australia.

Entry for the ‘Best Emerging Designer’ awards is open to all permanent residents of South Australia and you do not need to have any formal training to enter.

Entries can be submitted as an individual designer or as a label with up to three designers named on the entry for a label.

All garments entered in the Award must, if requested by the organisers, be made available to be paraded and / or displayed at the Adelaide Fashion Festival, 19-27 October 2012.

Entries must be received by 5.00pm, Friday 14 September 2012.

Award winners will be announced at the Adelaide Fashion Festival ‘SA Designers Fashion Showcase’ to be held on Saturday 27 October 2012.
