Buckle your belts fashionistas, the Adelaide Fashion Festival returns from 19-27 October with more fashion events than ever – bringing style and glamour into town just in time for Spring.!
Heading into its fifth glorious year, the Adelaide Fashion Festival is nationally recognised by industry insiders as South Australia's premier fashion showcase event.
Every year, the Festival continues to grow and comes closer to becoming an iconic fashion event to rival the major Australian fashion festivals held annually in sister cities, Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and Perth.
Hosted by the City of Norwood Payneham & St Peters and The Parade, Norwood, the 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival promises to shine a spotlight on Adelaide and the dynamic and innovative South Australian fashion industry.
Fashion Festival Coordinator, Cristina Tridente says, “The 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival is set to WOW – it will exude the style and glamour of our established designers, while also unveiling some of South Australia’s best emerging talent. This year’s program offers something that will appeal to everyone, including a mix of the high-end ticketed shows to free community and family-friendly events.”
The 2012 Adelaide Fashion Festival program will light up the streets of Adelaide with multiple event locations over an exciting nine day program.
For the first time the Festival has partnered with the Starlight Foundation and part proceeds will go towards supporting Starlight’s amazing work with children.
This year’s program has 17 amazing events. As a Festival first, the Governor of South Australia will open his home for an invitation-only AFF Opening Party. This will be one of the hottest invites in the State for 2012!
Highlights of the Festival Include:
The Gentleman’s Lounge (presented The Ivy League and SA Style) – Adelaide’s first fashion event dedicated to promoting the men’s fashion industry. Including the reval of SA's most eligible bachelor?
Style Workshop with Arthur Galan – Don't miss the opportunity to meet the man behind successful label 'Arthur Galan AG.' Join Arthur as he shares the inspiration behind his new Spring/Summer collection and provides customers with style advice and tips on the best ways to update their wardrobe.
Advantage SA Young Designers Showcase – Staged by South Australia’s couture designers, this provides a platform for local emerging designers to make their mark on SA’s fashion scene. Adding their support behind this event are leading emerging SA labels such as Paolo Sebastian, Jaimie Sortino and Couture+Love+Madness. The highly sought-after Emerging Designer Award will also be judged on the night!
