The ensemble of contemporary dancers bring together a show full of colour, light and sound experiences that are clever and engaging. The use of colourful props, costumes and orbs which light up on stage and in the audience add to the spectacle of the show. The dancers are all strong movers and in moments when they dance in sync are a very beautiful troup to watch. There is a joy and interconnectedness between the performers that help highlight some wonderful moments in this performance.

There are some clever moments put together by Director and Choreographers Amber Haines and Kyle Page. The performers have also worked in collaboration to create these motifs on stage. One moment that was effective was an arm combination where the dancers create drumming like sounds on the floor, beginning in sync and moving into patterns. Lighting design, by Niklas Pajanti, is also effective in creating light and shade on the stage to enhance the colours and draw attention to the action on stage.

A moment, which I found particularly engaging, happened when the orbs scattered around the audience seats begin to light up with vocalisations and vibrations. This left the audience in awe as they listened to the different sounds and watched for which orbs would light up next. It was a beautiful emersive experience, which resonated around the room, assisting in drawing the attention away from a change of scene occurring on stage.

Another scene that used colour, sound and light effectively to wow audiences was the use of dancing ribbons that were moved in conjunction with a strobe light and vibrations in the orbs that gave off the appearance of sound waves dancing along the stage.

There is a lot of joy and spirit in this show, however at times it could become a little chaotic and hard to follow as the dancers moved around the stage doing different moves and the audience may have found it hard to absorb all that was happening. The most effective choreographic moments on stage were when the ensemble was dancing together.

Overall this is an intriguing concept, using a range of technical elements to create a captivating theatre experience.
