Adelaide Fringe is set to captivate audiences once more with its 2025 season from February 21st to March 23rd. The festival has announced an extensive lineup of over 1,300 shows spanning comedy, theatre, cabaret, music, visual arts, interactive experiences, and more. These shows will be hosted across 500 venues throughout South Australia, inviting both local and international visitors to dive into a global arts experience.

Heather Croall AM, Director and CEO of Adelaide Fringe, shared her thoughts on this year’s program. “Adelaide Fringe is an invitation to explore South Australia through the eyes of the local and international artists who make this event so unique,” she stated. She also encouraged people to explore performances in various locations, including regional areas and concealed gems within the city.

Key venues like The Garden of Unearthly Delights and Gluttony are set to return, transforming Adelaide’s Eastern parklands into vibrant hubs for festival-goers. The West Village is also ready to host nearly 200 events across more than 30 venues, including as ILA and the Adelaide College of the Arts. In 2025, the Courtyard of Curiosities will expand further, offering intimate programming at the State Library and Migration Museum.

In addition to city-based events, over 100 shows will occur across regional South Australia including in Coober Pedy and Kangaroo Island. One popular returning act is ‘Sleeps Hill Tunnel,’ an immersive experience combining history and creativity inside Panorama’s historic railway tunnel.

The festival has introduced new ambassadors for its 2025 season including acclaimed First Nations singer-songwriter Nancy Bates, comedian Rhys Nicholson, performer Michelle Brasier, and actress Teresa Palmer. Sharing his joy, Nicholson commented, “I’m buzzing with delight to be a Fringe Ambassador.” Similarly, Palmer shared her excitement, saying said “I’m so excited to be an Adelaide Fringe Ambassador! I’ve always admired how the Fringe celebrates bold and unique voices, and I’m beyond excited to work with the festival this year to share its extraordinary magic with the world.”

2025 also marks a milestone 20-year partnership between Adelaide Fringe and BankSA. Enza Ferraro, State General Manager of BankSA, commented on the partnership’s success in making the festival more accessible and inclusive. “It’s been awesome to see Fringe become such an integral part of South Australia’s cultural identity,” she said.
