Adelaide Fringe Celebrates Best Sales Day In History

Adelaide Fringe 2020 is on track to sell 900,000 tickets with an estimated value of $21 million by the end of the season.

Saturday 22 February 2020 saw the biggest day for tickets sales in Adelaide Fringe history with more 30,000 tickets sold on the day.

Compared to the same time last year ticket sales are tracking 10 percent up on 2019.

400,000 tickets have been sold so far, representing a box office of $9.9 million.

Adelaide Fringe 2020 is on track to sell 900,000 tickets with an estimated value of $21 million by the end of the season (March 15).

“The team at Fringe are absolutely thrilled with the ticket sales so far in 2020,” says Adelaide Fringe Director and CEO Heather Croall.

“As an open access festival, the money generated from ticket sales goes directly into the pockets of artists and venues so we just love this ticket sales explosion we are experiencing. Fringe team could not be happier – seeing the state and tourists rally around the event is absolutely amazing.”
