Some shows entertain. Others amaze. No Dragon No Lion does both – and then some. Fresh from dazzling audiences at Times Square’s New Year’s Eve celebrations and the Edinburgh Festival, TS Crew brings its critically acclaimed fusion of martial arts, dance, and acrobatics to the Adelaide Fringe. If you think you’ve seen everything, think again.

Blending Bruce Lee-style combat with the rhythmic precision of Lion Dance and the theatrical grandeur of Chinese Opera, this show delivers a high-octane spectacle that refuses to be pinned down by genre. It’s part circus, part kung-fu film, part musical explosion – and entirely unforgettable. From the moment the performers take the stage, clad in traditional opera masks and yellow sneakers, but stripped to the waist in a raw display of strength and agility, you’re hooked.

What makes No Dragon No Lion exceptional is its fearless genre-mashing. One moment, you’re watching an intricate dance sequence reminiscent of classic Hollywood Kung Fu scenes and the next, you’re immersed in gravity-defying parkour stunts, beatboxing battles, and an electrifying reimagining of traditional dragon dance. It’s a whirlwind of movement and energy, yet executed with such precision and control that it feels almost cinematic.

But the real magic? This is an international Fringe act at its finest—one that transcends language and cultural barriers to connect with every person in the audience. Whether you’re a kid seeing lion dancing for the first time, a martial arts enthusiast geeking out over the seamless fight choreography, or an art lover marvelling at the show’s theatricality, No Dragon No Lion will speak to you with the electricity of a shared and intimate experience.

No Dragon No Lion is a thrilling, high-energy homage to both heritage and innovation. It’s not just a performance; it’s a cultural explosion that pulses with life, history, and modern-day reinvention and a must see show at this year’s Fringe.

This show ends this Sunday 2 March at Ukiyo at Gluttony, Don’t miss it,  highly recommend. Book here  at the Adelaide Fringe.
