Adelaide is set to host the Grand Final of the 2025 Repco Supercars Championship, marking a thrilling conclusion to the racing series from 27-30 November 2025. This event will feature a new racing format, including a 100km race on Friday followed by two 250km races across the weekend.
The 2025 Repco Supercars Championship Grand Final will culminate in Adelaide after a series of finals races, providing a new, exciting challenge for drivers. The championship in the Adelaide Parklands circuit, is set to be decided over these final three races.
As part of the newly introduced format, the season’s top performers will compete in an elimination-style showdown. This change means that only the highest point scorers will advance to the final rounds, increasing the competitiveness and intensity of the races. Points will be reset for the top four finalists, ensuring a level playing field and maintaining suspense until the final race.
Mark Warren, CEO of the South Australian Motor Sport Board stated, “The VAILO Adelaide Grand Final will be a major shakeup for the series, producing a must see event for all motorsport fans over four days.”
Shane Howard, CEO of Supercars, also commented on the new format, noting, “Our fans wanted more excitement, more unpredictability, and a true test to find the best champion. The Finals series will do just that.” Howard explained that the changes, including the resetting of points and the elimination of drivers, are designed to intensify competition and enhance the viewer experience, promising that the best competitors will emerge victorious.
In terms of event structure, the Grand Final weekend will begin with two 30-minute practice sessions followed by a new two-part qualifying setup leading into the 100km race on Friday. The action intensifies on Saturday and Sunday with three-part qualifying sessions that include the Top 10 Shootout, culminating in 250km races each day.
The team championship is another highlight, adding an additional layer of competition. Teammates of the championship contenders will play crucial roles in securing both team and driver titles.
Fans from all over Australia are expected to travel to Adelaide to witness the crunch races that will determine the 2025 champion. The introduction of the new 100km race on Friday, combined with the high-stakes races over the weekend, is set to make the VAILO Adelaide Grand Final a historic event in the Repco Supercars Championship.
