Adelaide locals can go golfing for a good cause this November as X-Golf launches the Starlight Swing, a nationwide charity event raising funds for the Starlight Children’s Foundation. The event will see X-Golf venues across the country and here in SA, transformed with a touch of magic.
For the first time, X-Golf has revealed a purpose-built Starlight Swing course, a whimsical redesign of its popular Pirates Island course that combines world-class golf technology with a bit of heartwarming creativity. Developed in collaboration with Korean technology specialists, X-Golf Group and the Starlight Children’s Foundation, the nine-hole virtual course is filled with colour, light and playful Starlight visuals. It’s an experience that celebrates both the fun of the game and the power of giving back.

Running throughout November from the 1st to the 30th, the Starlight Swing is inviting players to tackle the new course solo or in teams of up to four, with a $10 donation securing entry. Every dollar raised goes directly to Starlight, helping grant life-changing wishes for seriously ill children. Across its 30 venues nationwide, X-Golf has set an ambitious goal to raise $33,500, which is enough to fund five unforgettable Starlight wishes and bring laughter, play and hope to families who need it most.
For X-Golf’s Peter Nolan, the cause is deeply personal. “Having undergone chemotherapy for Hodgkin’s Lymphoma in 2014, I saw firsthand the light and positivity that Starlight brings to kids and families during tough times,” Nolan said.
“It’s not just about fighting illness. It’s about giving kids moments of joy, hope and normalcy when they really need it. Every small act of care counts, and we’re proud to see our venues and communities come together for such an important cause.”

Here in Adelaide, locals can join the movement at X-Golf Marion, West Lakes and Windsor Gardens. Alongside the special Starlight course, players can enjoy mini-games, track their scores on the national leaderboard and go in the running for prizes including Ping putters, Puma golf gear and TaylorMade caps. It’s a fun and social thing to do, giving you a chance to try something new or something you already love in support of sick kids.
Since first arriving in Australia in 2011, X-Golf has worked to revolutionise the way golfers experience the sport. Combining realistic gameplay with cutting-edge simulator technology, its venues offer a relaxed, social environment where beginners and seasoned players alike can perfect their swing, unwind with friends, or even enjoy home cinema entertainment after play.

This November, it’s about more than just the perfect shot. The Starlight Swing is proving that the best rounds of golf are the ones played for others. Adelaide golfers can book their spot now and take part in what’s sure to be one of the most rewarding games of the year.
