OK OK, we didn’t meant to use the T word in the story’s title, but we didn’t know how else to put it. An Adelaide Hills Pinot has smashed some of the world’s best, to come up on top as the Pinot Palooza People’s Choice 2016.

Pinot Palooza has just finished rolling through 6 cities across Australia & New Zealand, with over 250 wines and some of the best Pinot producers IN THE WORLD. Can we say that? Sure we can.

Ladies and gentlemen, thousands of you came, you drank and you voted in one of the largest public democratic votes. You let your taste buds decide which Pinot was the most delicious and…

David Bowley’s label Vinteloper, came out trumps (see we did it again) and it was well deserved.

But Vinteloper was not the only delicious Pinot enjoyed at Pinot Palooza. The top 10 voted labels from the tour were as follows:

  1. Vinteloper
  2. Charteris
  3. Nanny Goat
  4. Curly Flat
  5. Moondarra
  6. Shaw + Smith
  7. Dalrymple
  8. Josef Chromy
  9. Mt Difficulty
  10. Craggy Range

South Australia’s top 5 are as follows;

  1. Shaw & Smith
  2. Vinteloper
  3. d’Arenberg
  4. Deviation Road
  5. Nanny Goat

Sounds like a good excuse to head to the bottle shop, no?
