Adelaide Hills Wineries Sweep National Awards

It’s about time that someone grabbed a huge loud speaker, stood on top of Mount Lofty and screamed across the plains “get your ass up to the Hills, our wine is awesome!”

It’s about time that someone took the bull by the horns for the Adelaide Hills, grabbed a huge loud speaker, stood roughly on top of Mount Lofty and screamed across the plains “get your ass up here, we have wine!” Because wineries across the region are just cleaning up national awards lately.

Just this week, Bird In Hand has returned from the sunnier skies of the Royal Queensland Wine Show with a trophy and three gold medals. No doubt, it’s helping to warm the cold snap. They took home ‘Best Rosé of Show’ trophy for their 2016 D&B ‘Pour Les Amour’ Rose, as well as gold medals for their 2016 Honeysuckle Riesling, 2016 Bird In Hand Rosé and 2016 D&B ‘Pour Les Amour’ Rosé. It’s no small feat to rise as the cream across 1801 entries from 243 wineries across the country.

This will do for National Rosé Day 🙌 💕💕D&B Rosé & Sparkling @houseof.cool @bambilegit #PourLesAmour #nationalroseday

Their neighbours at Artwine, literally just up the road in Woodside, are also toasting success as their sparkling named for their beloved cellar door dog Coco, took home home the Sparkling Trophy from the Australia & New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards. They’ve also revealed recently that they will be the first Adelaide Hills Cellar Door with an estate grown Prosecco to be launched this Spring. Exciting times!

And rounding out the trio is the hidden gem, Mount Lofty Ranges Vineyard in Lenswood, who have also scooped a Gold at the same Australia & New Zealand Boutique Wine Awards for their Sparkling as well.

So this little Sparkling picked up #GOLD at the Australian & NZ boutique wine awards. #sawine #ahwineregion #adelhills
