The Lane Vineyard has been awarded Best Winery Restaurant in Australia at the 2022 Restaurant & Catering National Awards for Excellence.
The awards, held on Monday 28th November in Brisbane, recognised the best cafes, restaurants and service staff across the country.
Despite the strong competition from venues across Victoria, NSW, Tasmania, ACT and Queensland, The Lane Vineyard scored the top spot of Best Winery Restaurant. This follows The Lane’s “Best Winery Restaurant” win in the state-based competition in August.
“To be recognised as the Best Winery Restaurant in the state was incredibly well deserved. But to take out Best Winery Restaurant in the country is truly special” says The Lane Vineyard CEO, Jared Stringer.
“This is a huge recognition, and it could not have been achieved without the dedication of each and every front and back of house team member.
“We pride ourselves on our high level of service and decadent food matched perfectly to our wines, and it was great to see this recognised by the judges.”
Judges said the Hahndorf restaurant was “immaculately presented from the front gate to the table”.
“The Provenance menu was delicious from first to last course,” the judges said.
“The culinary skills in the kitchen were demonstrated in each dish and it was evident as much care was taken with produce as it was the planning of wine matching.
“Staff need to be commended for the impeccable ‘can do’ high standard of service provided.
“An amazing all round dining experience in a bright and well set out vibrant dining space. Staff made you feel very special from greeting to farewell, providing a dining experience to remember.”
The Lane Vineyard is a scenic 25-minute drive from the Adelaide CBD, hidden in the Adelaide Hills just outside of Hahndorf.
