Come along to Semaphore beach over the Easter long weekend in 2020 and watch the sky fill with colour, twists and twirls, kites of all shapes and size – when the Adelaide International Kite Festival returns!
The festival will run from Saturday April 11, Sunday April 12 and Monday April 13, from 11am-5pm daily.
The 2020 Festival will feature international guest kite flyers from New Zealand and as always, they will have kite flyers from South Australia and interstate flying too.
As in recent years, the Festival Marketplace will return with stallholders selling their wares and running activities for all to be involved in. This area is on the foreshore and open 11am – 5pm daily.
The AIKF is run by the Adelaide Kite Flyers Association in conjunction with K Marie Events, and was established in 1997.
There is plenty of parking bays along the Esplanade at semaphore and through to neighbouring streets, just be mindful of parking restriction signs and driveways.
PUBLIC KITE FLYING
You are welcome to bring along your own kites or purchase some at the Festival to fly yourself. The public kite flying area is south of the jetty or on the foreshore grass, the North side is restricted to registered flyers.
The Adelaide International Kite Festival will take place in Semaphore Beach on Military Rd, Semaphore, SA.
