Adelaide Karaoke Institution La Sing Reveals New Look After Reopening

According to the La Sing team, devoted fans need not fear, with the “vibe” of the much-loved venue still ringing true despite the renovations.

Ah La Sing, an Adelaide institution for karaoke and post-dinner dancing alike.

La Sing eradicates generational divide, attracting forty-somethings and twenty-somethings alike with its siren call of pineapple cruisers, chicken wings, and the prospect of belting out ‘Mamma Mia’ on stage.

As you read this, likely reminiscing about the last time you made that special stage your own with a rendition of your favourite karaoke song (… Livin’ On a Prayer?), La Sing is sitting proudly, having undergone a transformation over its COVID-19 closure.

During one of the bar’s final pre-lockdown nights, owner Ung Chin made an announcement to a group of loyal attendees, stating, “we’ll be back, bigger and better than ever.”

It would seem Chin has fulfilled that promise, with a dedicated team having worked during this period of closure to make some subtle changes to the bar’s aesthetic.

According to the La Sing team, devoted fans need not fear, with the “vibe” of the much-loved venue still ringing true.

La Sing is has officially reopened, and bookings are advised given the COVID-19 restrictions.

Consumption of alcohol is only permitted whilst seated, and strict social distancing rules apply.

You can find La Sing at 261 Gouger Street.
