Metallica landed in Adelaide this week for tonight’s massive concert and the atmosphere around the city already feels electric. Adelaide Oval is preparing to shake as fans from across the state roll in wearing black tees, denim vests, studded jackets and some of the coolest merch around.
The city has caught heavy metal fever, and right now for over 50,000 fans Nothing Else Matters.
Anyone walking through the CBD today will noticed the fans as there is a particular kind of stride music lovers have when they know they are about to witness something epic.
Locals were thrilled to see couple of the band members spending hours enjoying coffee and late lunch at Ayla’s Cafe Bent Street late yesterday. A low key moment in plain sight. If you saw them you now have bragging rights for life.
Tonight’s set is expected to follow the energy and shape of the weekend show in Perth which opened with The Ecstasy of Gold and ended with Enter Sandman.
For fans looking to take home something tangible, the official merchandise pop up has opened on Currie Street. Expect tour tees, exclusive prints, limited artwork and the kind of memorabilia people hunt down years later. It has had lines down the block.
