Historic, rare and significant racing vehicles will roar through Adelaide’s parklands again in Mad March for a two-day rev-heads delight, The 2023 Adelaide Motorsport Festival (AMF).
Celebrating South Australia’s rich motorsport history, the family-friendly AMF combines high-octane action on-track with a laid-back picnic races atmosphere off-track.

After the huge success of the recent VALO Adelaide 500, the good news continues for motor enthusiasts with a record number of categories for the festival held on the 25th and 26th of March 2023.
The action will be fast and furious as vehicles make their way around the iconic Adelaide F1 Grand Prix track in Victoria Park.
There is plenty to keep the younger motorsport fans entertained with simulators, radio controlled car racing, scalextric tracks plus of course many cars on and off the track to check out, trade displays and entertainment, there’s something for the whole family.

Punters will be entertained with a different category of vehicles on track every 10 to 15 minutes, including more open-wheelers headlined by classic Formula One cars, V8 Supercars alongside Heritage Touring Cars, a special Invitational category alongside Demonstration sessions.
For those who have a need for speed, The Shootout will pit the fastest cars in a race against the clock to determine the quickest entry at the event.
In a further boost for the motorsport fans, there will be a new category next year to the festival called Tipo F1. Running alongside the Formula One and Open-Wheeler classes, Tipo F1 will feature the likes of S5000, Formula 5000, Formula 3000, Formula Renault, Champ Car/IndyCar, older model Formula One cars, single-seat track cars and more.
Holden and Ford fans won’t miss out either with the addition of a V8 Supercars class, adding a category for newer model Ford Falcons, Holden Commodores and other post-Project Blueprint V8 Supercars alongside the Heritage Touring Cars (Group C and A), 5-Litre Touring Cars (Group 3A) and Classics (1950s to 1970s).
The annual street party in the Adelaide CBD on Friday 24th of March will officially launch the two-day motorsport extravaganza.

The night begins with the Peak Hour of Power – a high-powered parade of exotic, wild and rare vehicles that runs from Victoria Park through the city following the original Adelaide Grand Prix Circuit route of East Terrace before arriving at Stag Corner/Rundle Road.
It also features live music, celebrity driver appearances and pop-up bars creating a fun and festive atmosphere.
