New Year’s Eve at the Bay
The City of Holdfast Bay is set to host New Year’s Eve @ the Bay for another year! The family friendly event includes live and roving entertainment, children’s amusements and dazzling fireworks displays. The family friendly event will begin at 6.00pm with a special fireworks display at 9.30pm at both Glenelg and Brighton jetties before the main display at midnight at Glenelg jetty.

Fireworks Exclusion Zones: Waters around both fireworks locations closed to water traffic for an exclusion of 150 metres circumference at both Glenelg Jetty between 8.30pm – 1.00am and Brighton Jetty between 9.00pm – 10.30pm
Road Closures: Numerous road closures and restricted parking areas will apply in Glenelg, including the full length of both Jetty Road, Colley Terrace and High Street, these roads will be closed to all vehicular traffic from 6.00pm Wednesday 31 December 2014 until approx 4.00am Thursday 1 January 2015.
The following roads will be closed to vehicular traffic –
JETTY RD, GLENELG – between Gordon St/Partridge St and Moseley Square
COLLEY TCE, GLENELG – between Anzac Hwy and Jetty Rd
HIGH ST, GLENELG – between Moseley St and Partridge St

City of Adelaide’s New Year’s Eve Celebrations
Adelaide City Council’s FREE New Year’s Eve event promises a great night of entertainment and fireworks. Elder Park will be host to Fresh FM’s live electric-based artist NYE competition winner.  People will be able to enjoy the array of international food and purchase beverages from the licensed beer garden. There will be no BYO alcohol allowed at the event.

Time: Gates Open at 6:30pm

TRANSPORTATION

We are waiting on all the info about public transport on NYE, so as soon as that comes through we’ll update the guide. In the meantime though, we can highly recommend using UBER private drivers on the night to get you to and from your events safely. All you need to do is download the app and hail a car. It’s NYE after all, live it up!
