Adelaide offers free public transport for cricket fans this summer

The South Australian Government has joined forces with the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) to offer free train, tram, and bus services on match days for cricket fans.

Get ready to enjoy a spectacular season of international and Big Bash League (BBL) matches at Adelaide Oval without worrying about transportation costs. The South Australian Government has joined forces with the South Australian Cricket Association (SACA) to offer free train, tram, and bus services on match days for cricket fans.

All you need to do to take advantage of this fantastic offer is to present your game day ticket, and you can enjoy a complimentary ride to Adelaide Oval.

Also, after all BBL games, extra Adelaide Metro services will be in operation, ensuring a safe and hassle-free journey back home.

“Thousands of South Australians love nothing more than to head to the cricket in summer and we’re offering free public transport to all matches so that everyone can get there safe and hassle free,” Minister for Infrastructure and Transport Tom Koutsantoni says.

“We are proud to partner with SACA to offer free transport to all cricket fans. Supporters were able to enjoy free travel on our trains, trams and buses to see the victorious Strikers WBBL side go back-to-back, and they’ll be hoping to see the BBL team enjoy similar success this season.”

The BBL season is kicking off with a bang this Saturday as the Adelaide Strikers take on the Brisbane Heat at Adelaide Oval. This match marks the beginning of two months of thrilling summer cricket action.
