Your peek into the newly opened Adelaide Oval Hotel

The Oval Hotel has today officially opened its doors to the public.

The Oval Hotel has today officially opened its doors to the public, as South Australia continues to drive its economic recovery from the global coronavirus pandemic.

The project supported over 800 construction jobs throughout the build, and has created over 100 ongoing jobs, providing another critical boost to the South Australian economy.

Premier Steven Marshall said the Oval Hotel is another major drawcard to attract tourism dollars into the state.

“This is a fantastic addition to what is already a world-class precinct, and really cements the Adelaide Oval as a major tourist attraction,” said the Premier.

“The tourism sector has been one of the hardest-hit as a result of the global coronavirus pandemic, and this opening could not come at a better time, as we begin to welcome more visitors from interstate, who will provide a real shot in the arm for this sector.

“We have led the nation and the world when it comes to combatting the health and economic impacts of the coronavirus, and this puts us in a position to open our economy and create jobs, so we can emerge even stronger than before.

“This hotel is the jewel in the crown of our renowned Adelaide Oval – which is now without a doubt one of the most exciting sporting venues in the world.”

Minister for Infrastructure and Transport, Corey Wingard said the hotel is a coup for the state.

“This will add even more vibrancy to what is already a world-class facility, and provide a really unique offering for sports fans,” said the Minister.
