It’s nearly mum’s special day, and we’ve found a high tea that will spoil her!
With Mother’s Day around the corner, the world-class culinary team at Oval Hotel has devised a decadently different high tea menu, to be served up in Five Regions Restaurant on Sunday 9 May.
The award-winning restaurant is known for its seasonal degustation offering that showcases South Australia’s wine regions and local producers, as well as its stunning views into Adelaide Oval. What better place to spoil Mum?
“We’ve taken the classic Mother’s Day high tea and put our own Five Regions spin on it,” says Oval Hotel Food and Beverage Manager, Martin Wilson.
The resulting menu is brimming with uniquely South Australian ingredients, including native flavours. Dishes include wattleseed macarons, Spencer Gulf crab pikelets, Woodside goat curd and warrigal green quiches.
“Every treat on the menu has been carefully crafted just for Mum,” Wilson says.
“It’s a little different and more decadent that your average high tea; We know she’s going to love it!”
Alongside a range of sweet and savoury treats, guests will enjoy free-flowing G.H. Mumm champagne for the duration of their high tea experience.
And of course, Mum will enjoy all of this while overlooking stunning views of the Adelaide Oval. The Five Regions dining room has been designed to perfectly capture this iconic backdrop, with every table in the intimate space enjoying views of the hallowed turf.
“It really is the perfect setting for a memorable Mother’s Day,” Wilson says.
