Adelaide set to sizzle with first-ever ALMA BRAZIL! festival this November

Experience the vibrant colours, rhythms, and flavours of Brazil in Adelaide at the inaugural ALMA BRAZIL! festival, featuring dance, music, food, and beach festivities this November.

Adelaide is set to turn up the heat this November as the city welcomes its first-ever Brazilian cultural festival — ALMA BRAZIL!

Running from Thursday 20 to Sunday 23 November 2025, this four-day extravaganza promises to immerse Adelaide in the colour, rhythm and flavours of Brazil through music, dance, food, football, art and family-friendly fun.

Taking centre stage is Viva Brasil! Noite de Cabaret Brasileiro, a glittering gala that blends Parisian cabaret with the infectious energy of Rio Carnival. The show-stopping event will light up Woodville Town Hall on Saturday 22 November, showcasing dazzling performances choreographed by internationally acclaimed Brazilian artist Talita Fontainha.

Presented by TQ Productions, ALMA BRAZIL! transforms the city into a cultural playground — from samba parades and capoeira circles to beachside celebrations and culinary delights.

“Brazilian culture is about joy, connection, and rhythm,” says Fontainha, Artistic Director of ALMA BRAZIL!. “This festival is about sharing that energy, bringing the heartbeat of Brazil to South Australia. Whether you come for the dancing, the food, or just to feel the vibe, ALMA BRAZIL! will welcome you with open arms. ‘Alma’ means soul in Portuguese, and this festival is exactly that — a soulful celebration of Brazil’s rich heritage, artistic expression, and joyful community spirit.”

Festival highlights include:

  • Viva Brasil! Noite de Cabaret Brasileiro – A black-tie gala at Woodville Town Hall on Saturday 22 November, fusing elegance and carnival flair.
  • Noite Brazil! Caipirinha & Coração – Friday 21 November, an intimate evening of live bossa nova, tropical cocktails and gourmet bar snacks.
  • Cores do Brasil – Festival Opening Exhibition – Running throughout November, celebrating Brazilian identity and art through photography and painting.
  • Sol Brazil! A Day at the Beach – Like in Brazil – Sunday 23 November at West Beach, with football, footvolley, capoeira, samba, and sunset DJ sessions.
  • Casa Brazil! Creative Workshops & Cultural Experiences – Saturday 22 November, offering hands-on workshops in dance, food, and crafts for all ages.

With its mix of free and ticketed events, ALMA BRAZIL! promises to capture the soul of Brazil right here in Adelaide — uniting communities through rhythm, sunshine, and pure joy.
