The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia, said “I love seeing families and groups come together from across Adelaide and our state to experience the magic of Carols by Candlelight. I congratulate all who have worked to keep this event thriving across its amazing 80 years.” He also shared a personal reflection, “Generations of South Australians have treasured memories of going to Carols, first as a child and then years later with their own children. I look forward to adding this year’s 80th celebration to my collection of Carols memories this December.”

Attendees are encouraged to bring a picnic rug and festive cheer, ready to sing along to classic Christmas carols and songs. Guests should don their best Christmas attire and arrive early to secure a good spot. Gates will open from 3pm with the City of Adelaide Pre-Show Concert starting at 5pm. The main event will begin at 8.15pm and will wrap up with an impressive fireworks display sponsored by Yellow Door Care, illuminating the skies above the Torrens/Karrawirra Pari.
