Adelaide To Host The World’s Largest Space Conference

Little ol’ Adelaide leads the space race by hosting the 2017 International Astronautical Congress and you can watch it here, live.

The 2017 International Astronautical Congress (IAC), the world’s largest annual gathering of space professionals, is coming to Adelaide on 25-29 September. WHAT?! Can we just take a moment here. The world’s largest space conference is happening right here in our city (who says we’re a nanna state now, huh). Elon Musk and Bill Nye (head of a major space agency) are just two of the incredible speakers in a jam-packed program that we’re even pretty impressed by.

Leaders in space from across the globe – heads of major space agencies, astronauts, senior space engineers and policy makers, will soon be landing in Adelaide, ready to tackle major space-related topics such as, The Value of being part of Space Exploration; The Role of Space Agencies in Support of Emerging Countries and stacks more.

Australia’s Science Channel, will be providing free, exclusive footage of the conference including:
  • A live daily show, Space After Five, which will include a wrap-up of the day and interviews with special guests.
  • A livestream of an expert panel analysis of Elon Musk’s presentation immediately following his address of Friday 29th September.

You can follow the IAC 2017 coverage, including the lead up and daily live videos at australiascience.tv/iac-2017.
