SCA has just announced that the SAFM breakfast show will feature two new hosts Bernie Vince and Emma Georgiadis, starting Monday 11 November. Known affectionately as Bernie & Emma G, the duo promises a fresh new sound to the breakfast show.
This news comes soon after the shock departure of popular breakfast show hosts Mark Soderstrom and Rebecca Morse.
Bernie Vince, known for his time at the Adelaide Crows and for his media stint at Triple M, pairs up with his great friend and professional peer, Emma Georgiadis. Emma, previously part of Triple M’s The Rush Hour with Vince, re-joins her colleague after her recent role on the Hit Network’s late-night show, The Pulse. Their solid off-air friendship is set to translate into engaging on-air chemistry.
Listeners can expect a high-energy program filled with laughter, anecdotes, and playful banter, meant to enliven the mornings of their audience. Both hosts have a deep connection with the city, adding a personal touch to their broadcasting.
“SAFM Breakfast alongside my mate Emma G, how exciting! She is a star, and I can’t wait to get started with this amazing opportunity for the both of us to build something new,” Bernie Vince commented about his new role. Emma Georgiadis shared her excitement as well, noting, “As a passionate Adelaidean, I’m super excited to be back on the airwaves in my hometown, and on the station I listened to and loved growing up.”
Dave Cameron, SCA Chief Content Officer, highlighted the unique appeal of the show, focusing on the strong pre-existing relationship between the hosts. “Absolutely nothing beats a new Breakfast show that is built on genuine friendship and fun,” he remarked. According to Cameron, the show’s fresh approach is eagerly anticipated by the network and is expected to resonate well with local listeners.
The new SAFM Breakfast show aims to bring a mixture of sports insights, lifestyle, and music content, tailored to a broad audience that appreciates wit and a casual, amiable listening experience. The program will air every weekday from 6am to 9am, promising to be a significant refresh for Adelaide’s morning routine.
In addition to introducing the new hosts, SCA thanked the departing breakfast team, Bec and Soda, for their contributions and wished them well in their future endeavours.
Listeners can tune in on 11 November to experience the new show Bernie & Emma G on SAFM Breakfast.
