A feature film starring Disney star Kelli Berglund – the lead in the long running ‘Lab Rats’ series, is being filmed at Titanium Stadium Arena in Findon this week.
‘Raising the Bar’ is about an American champion gymnast who has quit the sport and travels to Australia with her mother. In Australia she finds new friends and support to re-enter and compete in elite gymnastics again.
Adelaide based director and co-producer Clay Glen said, “The hero competition scenes will be shot at the Titanium Security Arena which is perfect for the large gymnastics competition that the story calls for. The Arena is a fantastically versatile venue accommodating all sorts of sports and events including having the necessary staging facilities for our Women’s Artistic Gymnastics Competition filming.”
This is the second gymnastics based film directed and produced by Clay Glen and Sharyn Pancione. The pair have secured an LA film distributor already for this project based on the success of their previous feature ‘Second Chance’. Post production for the film will also be done in Adelaide by Glen Pictures. The movie has a scheduled release date of late 2015/early 2016.
Titanium Security Arena General Manager Guy Hedderwick said, “Of course we’re thrilled to have the shoot on site. The crew will film throughout the venue including in our corporate boxes which demonstrates the flexibility of the venue to host a wide variety of sporting and entertainment events – and even a film shoot!”
