Four of Adelaide United’s top players including Captain and Goalkeeper Eugene Galekovic have been immortalised as LEGO® mini-figures ahead of Brick-a-laide 2017 – Adelaide’s largest fan LEGO event.
Tarek Elrich, Ben Garuccio and Isaias Sanchez joined Eugene in the centre circle at Coopers Stadium to be presented with their own mini-figures and take on the ultimate LEGO challenge. The Adelaide United players follow in the footsteps of world-famous soccer players, past and present, who’ve had their own mini-figures including Zinedine Zidane, Robert Lewandowski and Cristiano Ronaldo.
The Adelaide United players will be hoping the LEGO® mini-figures will bring them some good luck as they prepare to travel to Melbourne to take on Melbourne City in the A-League before then heading to South Korea for their Asian Champions League clash with Jeju United.
The players also took on the Brick-a-laide Challenge where they’ll be given a LEGO® kit and be put up against the clock to build the model in the quickest possible time. The mini-figure presentation and Brick-a-laide Challenge comes ahead of this year’s event held over Easter weekend.
A record number of LEGO® displays are planned for Brick-a-laide 2017 (April 14 and 15) with the annual event’s creators and hosts Adelaide Convention Centre aiming to showcase more than 100 individual displays from around 134 exhibitors.
