The Adelaide Hills, Barossa, Clare Valley, McLaren Vale, Coonawarra and Adelaide City will come to life when the hilarious Plonk returns for a second vintage on Tuesday, July 7.
Follow the continuing adventures of Plonk’s hapless TV crew, including Chris Taylor from The Chaser’s War on Everything, Barossa-born Joshua Tyler and the show’s creator Nathan Earl, as they bumble, fumble and embarrass their way around South Australia’s world-class wineries for six weeks, leaving a path of destruction in their wake.
Joining the cast for season two are food legend Maggie Beer, comedian Greg Fleet, fellow Chaser Andrew Hansen, SA Premier Jay Weatherill, and many of the unseen stars from our state’s best known vineyards.
Nine Adelaide Managing Director, Mr Sean O’Brien, said, “After seeing Plonk on Stan we had to show this brilliant production to our local viewers. Adelaide viewers will get to see the show that was filmed in our fine city, before the rest of Nine’s audience
“Our state is the star in this irreverent take-off on the television industry and I have no doubts that viewers will love the send-up of our unique food and wine regions.”
Plonk Season Two is a One Stone Pictures production made in association with ITV Studios Australia and supported by Screen Australia, the South Australian Tourism Commission, South Australian Film Corporation, Channel Nine and Wine Selectors.
Take a sip of Plonk Season Two when it makes its free-to-air debut after The Voice on Tuesday, July 7, on Channel Nine.
