Adelaide weather forecast for Friday June 13th and the days ahead

Today begins sunny but the weekend will quickly turn to showers, with rising winds and more. Here’s your 7-day forecast.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued the latest weather forecasts and warnings for South Australia. In Adelaide and its surrounding areas, residents can expect a mixed bag of conditions over the next few days.

Today, Adelaide enjoys sunny skies, with a maximum temperature of 18°C. Winds will remain light, becoming northeasterly and increasing to 15 to 20 km/h by the evening. However, the weather is set to turn tomorrow. Saturday will bring significant rainfall, with cloudy skies and a very high chance of showers, mostly starting from late morning. Temperatures will range between 9°C and 16°C. Wind patterns will also shift, starting north to northeasterly at 20 to 30 km/h before switching to westerly in the afternoon.

The showers will be lower on Sunday, with the possibility of a shower or two, primarily in the morning and afternoon. Temperatures will again span from 7°C to 16°C. By Monday, similar conditions will continue, marked by intermittent showers and temperatures staying between 8°C to 17°C.

In a broader perspective, South Australia is experiencing varied weather due to a series of atmospheric conditions including a low-pressure system and a cold front. Rainfall will be common in several regions over the next few days. The weather system will bring isolated light showers to the West Coast district and the far northeast. By the weekend, showers will develop over agricultural areas and coastal regions, with thunderstorms possible near western and southern coasts.

Significant weather alerts have also been issued for South Australia. The Bureau of Meteorology has placed a frost warning for the Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, and Lower South East forecast districts. A marine wind warning is in effect for the Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast, and Lower South East Coast through to late Saturday.

There is also a Code Blue emergency response in place for those experiencing homelessness.
