In South Australia, residents are experiencing significant weather fluctuations, coupled with severe heatwave conditions that have prompted warnings from the Bureau of Meteorology.
Adelaide’s weather is set to undergo several changes over the next few days. Friday will be sunny with temperatures reaching a high of 35°C. Saturday will see temperatures spike to 39°C, under mostly sunny skies, with a slight chance of rain at 10%. A sharp change occurs on Sunday as showers ease the temperature significantly, with a maximum of only 25°C expected. Monday will be predominantly cloudy, cooling down to a high of 22°C.
Amidst the fluctuating daily conditions, South Australians are bracing for a challenging heatwave impacting several districts, including the West Coast and North West Pastoral districts.
The heatwave is marked by unusually high temperatures ranging from the low to mid forties during the day and not dropping below the mid to high twenties overnight. This escalation in heat is predicted to peak over the next few days before a predicted cool change over the weekend, which should provide some respite from the extreme conditions.
The rest of South Australia will experience isolated showers and potential thunderstorms by Wednesday, especially around the western and southern coasts. While significant rainfall is not anticipated widely, areas like the far southeast and Kangaroo Island might receive between 5 to 15 mm, and there could be isolated occurrences of up to 30 mm.
