Adelaide is experiencing varied weather conditions this week, according to the latest reports from the Bureau of Meteorology. Today, residents can expect a maximum of 21 degrees with partly cloudy skies. The possibility of rainfall is low with a 30% probability of rain and potential accumulations ranging from 0 to 1 mm.
Looking forward to the rest of the week, Tuesday will see a small escalation in weather activity. Temperatures will range between 12 degrees and 22 degrees. Scattered showers are anticipated, predominantly in the late morning and afternoon, with a 60% chance of rain.
Wednesday will bring cooler temperatures with a minimum of 10 degrees and a maximum of 19 degrees, under partly cloudy skies. The likelihood of rain will decrease significantly to just 10%, with winds coming from the southeast at speeds of 15 to 25 km/h.
By Thursday, the weather will clear up, bringing sunny skies and more pleasant conditions with temperatures around 20 degrees. The sunny trend will continue into Friday, with temperatures pushing upwards slightly to 22 degrees.
The weekend outlook is favourable, with mostly sunny conditions expected on both Saturday and Sunday. Temperatures will progressively increase, reaching a peak of 27 degrees on Sunday.
Turning to regional South Australia, the weather varies considerably. Early in the week is marked by a cold front, leading to isolated to scattered showers mainly in the southern regions. As the week progresses, the weather is set to stabilise as a high-pressure system takes control, leading to drier conditions and temperatures returning near to or above average towards the weekend.
Significant flood warnings are currently in place for the inland rivers of South Australia. The Bureau of Meteorology has highlighted areas affected including Coongie Lakes and Walkers Crossing, where creek levels are nearing a peak. The Warburton River at Poothapoota Waterhole is also experiencing rising river levels, which could persist for an extended period. Residents in or near these areas are advised to stay informed and prepare for potential impacts on travel and activities.
