Residents of Adelaide and broader South Australia should prepare for a mix of conditions over the coming week. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, changing temperatures and sporadic rain are forecast to influence various regions of the state at different times.

Starting in Adelaide, Monday March 10th will see a morning of sunshine but could transition to a partly cloudy afternoon with a possible shower or thunderstorm. The temperature is expected to reach a high of 36°C. Wind shifts from east to northeasterly in the morning to southeast to southwesterly in the evening may occur.

The weather on Tuesday, March 11th will be similar, though slightly cooler, with a maximum of 30°C. The skies will remain partly cloudy with a slight chance of showers or a thunderstorm as winds shift from westerly in the midday to southwesterly in the evening.

A clearer day awaits on Wednesday March 12th, as sunny skies dominate and temperatures rise to a comfortable maximum of 29°C. It marks a brief respite in a week of partly cloudy conditions.

Regionally, a low-pressure system and associated trough are impacting western parts of South Australia. This system will influence weather conditions up to Tuesday. By Wednesday, a new high pressure from the south will clear the low and trough to the east, potentially stabilising weather conditions somewhat.

Until Tuesday, isolated showers or thunderstorms are possible across the state, especially in agricultural areas where they might be severe on Monday afternoon and early evening. From Wednesday onward, the chance of showers drops off significantly. However, isolated thunderstorms may still occur, particularly in the far northeast by Thursday.

Maximum temperatures throughout the state for the next several days are generally expected to be above average. Adelaide, for example, is experiencing nighttime temperatures significantly above typical averages for this time of year.

Although Wednesday offers a clearer outlook, by Saturday March 15th, the weather across Adelaide is set to become cloudy again, with both minimum and maximum temperatures climbing, anticipating another shift in conditions.
