Saturday will feel particularly brisk by Adelaide standards, with a top of just 18 degrees in the city and cloud hanging around for most of the day.
There’s a medium chance of showers from late morning, and southwesterly winds of 25 to 35 km/h will add an extra chill, especially along the coast and around the hills. Sunday stays much the same, with another cloudy day, a possible shower or two and a cool top of 19 degrees. Winds will remain southwesterly before easing into the evening, making for a damp but manageable end to the weekend.
By Monday, Adelaide starts to settle. The city is forecast to reach 20 degrees under partly cloudy skies, with just a slight chance of a shower and the possibility of some patchy morning fog.
Tuesday follows a similar pattern, with another top of 20 degrees, morning fog possible in northern suburbs and only a slight chance of a shower in the south. From there, the second half of the week looks a little brighter, though temperatures will still stay on the mild side.
Wednesday is expected to be partly cloudy and dry with a top of 22 degrees, before slight shower chances return on Thursday and Friday with tops of 21 and 20 degrees respectively.
Regional areas in the west may also see patchy morning fog on Sunday, while Monday brings more fog through the agricultural districts and only isolated light showers near southern coastal fringes. By Tuesday, showers are expected to affect southern coasts again before extending into the rest of the southern agricultural area later in the day.
Rainfall totals through to the end of Tuesday are expected to stay relatively modest for many districts, but southern coasts, the southern Mount Lofty Ranges and the northeastern Spencer Gulf region could pick up between 5 and 15 mm.
