Adelaide is in for a warm and sunny weekend, and a week that’s set to heat up.
For the rest of Saturday, Adelaide will see sunny skies with a top of 28 degrees. Winds will be moderate heading southeasterly 25 to 35 km/h. Conditions will be dry with a zero per cent chance of rain.
As for the fire danger rating, there is no rating in the Adelaide Metropolitan area, but in the Mount Lofty Ranges, it is high.
Sunday’s temperature will rise to a top of 31 degrees with a low of 15 degrees. Skies will remain clear and winds will pick up southeasterly 25 to 40 km/h.
As for Monday, temperatures will see a hot high of 35 degrees and a low of 18 degrees, with winds east to southeasterly 25 to 35 km/h decreasing to 15 to 20 km/h during the evening. The sunny skies are set to continue into next week with the temperatures continuing to warm up heading towards and into the 40s later in the week.
Today coastal readers should be aware of the strong wind warnings that are in place. Today there are warnings in place for the Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, Far West Coast, Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast. As for tomorrow warnings are in place for the Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast.
Over the week the UV levels are expected to reach highs of 11, meaning sun protection is recommended from 9:20am to 5:30pm daily.
