Adelaide residents can anticipate a cool change with varied weather patterns over the coming week including sunny days and minimal rainfall.
Today, Adelaide faces a cool maximum of 16°C with sporadic showers. There is a 70% chance of rain with possible showers amounting to between 0 to 3mm. The weather will be generally cloudy, with morning fog in the northern suburbs and winds blowing from the southeast between 15 to 25 km/h.
Heading into Sunday, the minimum temperature will dip to 6°C reaching a high of 16°C. It’s expected to be a mostly sunny day, although there’s a slight possibility of morning showers in the southern suburbs. Winds will maintain a southeasterly direction at 15 to 20 km/h.
The start of the workweek will see consistent sunny weather. Monday will begin cold with potential morning frost in the northern suburbs. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 5°C to a maximum of 17°C. The sky will remain clear throughout the day with very light winds.
Looking forward, Tuesday will introduce partly cloudy skies with temperatures forecasted to be between 6°C and 19°C. The remainder of the week appears similar with partly cloudy to mostly sunny days until Friday when temperatures slightly rise to a maximum of 20°C.
Beyond the city, South Australia is experiencing varied weather conditions. Isolated showers are present in the agricultural areas and the far south of the pastoral districts. Today also features possible small hail about the Lower South East in the late afternoon and evening.
Significant weather warnings have been issued for the region. There’s a road weather alert for Adelaide due to reduced visibility from morning fog, making driving conditions hazardous. There also continues to be a flood warning for inland rivers. The Warburton River at Poothapoota Waterhole and Cooper Creek at Cullyamurra Waterhole continue to exhibit elevated water levels though they are slowly falling.
