Adelaide weather forecast for Saturday September 20th and the days ahead

There’s cold rainy days ahead this weekend, before conditions become more mild next week.

You may need to keep your umbrella handy again this weekend, as the coming days are expected to bring a mix of showers and cooler temperatures. According to the Bureau of Meteorology, Adelaide will experience some chilly days paired with occasional rainfall as the city transitions fully into the spring season.

Today will be cloudy with a moderate chance of showers, particularly during the morning. Winds will be predominantly southwesterly, shifting to westerly, with speeds ranging from 20 to 30 km/h. The temperature will peak at a cool 16 degrees, with possible rainfall amounts hovering between 0 to 2 mm.

Tomorrow will see a high likelihood of showers, especially in the morning and afternoon, as the temperature reaches a maximum of 17 degrees. The Bureau of Meteorology predicts rainfall ranging from 1 to 5 mm. Wind conditions will persist with a westerly flow at 20 to 30 km/h, turning south to southwesterly during the afternoon and evening.

Monday will see fewer showers with only a slight chance of rain. Partly cloudy skies are expected, and winds will become lighter towards the evening, coming from a southerly direction at 15 to 25 km/h. The maximum temperature will slightly increase to 18 degrees.

Across South Australia, this weekend will see below-average temperatures and scattered showers, primarily confined to the southern agricultural regions. A cold front has just passed over the southeast, succeeded by a southwesterly airstream that is expected to linger over the weekend.

A strong wind warning is in effect for South Central Coast and Lower South East Coast areas. However, the previous strong wind warning for the Upper South East Coast has been cancelled. Citizens involved in marine activities should stay informed of the latest updates and proceed with caution.

Enjoy the weekend!
