Adelaide weather forecast for Sunday July 27th and the days ahead

The latest weather updates for Adelaide and across South Australia. Chilling temperatures and showers lined up for the week ahead.

Today and for most of the week ahead residents of South Australia are advised to keep umbrellas at hand, with the Bureau of Meteorology predicting a series of chilly and wet days ahead with a forecast that promises showers and significantly cooler temperatures.

Today in Adelaide, the temperature will peak at a brisk 14 degree, accompanied by showers which are expected to ease later in the day.

Winds will be noticeable, starting southwesterly at 25 to 35 km/h and turning westerly at 15 to 25 km/h by the afternoon.

Tomorrow, the city can expect a minimum of 8 degrees and again, a maximum of 14 degress with a shower or two, particularly likely in the morning.

Tuesday will have similar conditions with chilly morning temperatures around 8 degrees, climbing to only 13 degrees by the afternoon.

In other parts of South Australia, conditions vary. The southern agricultural regions are experiencing a strong westerly to southwesterly wind today, which is expected to become lighter and more variable towards the north and west from this afternoon. The forecast promises maximum temperatures below average across the state, with light showers predominantly in the south, easing as they move north.

Two weather warnings are currently in effect, underscoring the need for vigilance among residents and visitors to affected areas. A Warning to Sheep Graziers is active for the Mid North forecast district.

Sheep and lamb losses may occur due to the anticipated cold temperatures and westerly winds today. Meanwhile, marine activities along the coast should proceed with caution.

A Strong Wind Warning has been issued for the Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Upper South East Coast, and Lower South East Coast for today and extends to the Far West Coast tomorrow.
