This week, South Australia will see changing weather patterns, according to the latest forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology.
Today, Adelaide is expected to reach a maximum temperature of 16 degrees, with a possibility of showers, particularly in the morning. The chance of any rain occurring is 40 per cent. Northwesterly winds are expected, which will turn northerly as the day progresses. On Monday, the city’s weather will turn wetter with showers expected to bring between 1 to 9 mm of rainfall. The likelihood of rain is high at 90 per cent.
On Tuesday, showers will continue, with a 70 per cent chance of rain reaching up to 3 mm. The week will see an improvement by Wednesday, which is forecasted as partly cloudy with a slight increase in temperature to 17 degrees. Thursday and Friday are set to be sunny, with maximum temperatures of up to 20 degrees.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued several weather warnings. A Frost Warning is in effect for the Riverland forecast district, with ground temperatures expected to drop to as low as -1 degrees in some areas on Sunday morning.
Strong wind warnings are also in place for various coastal areas, including the Lower West Coast, Central Coast, and South Central Coast, among others. These conditions are expected to continue into Monday, affecting marine activities and coastal operations.
The inland regions of South Australia are under a Flood Warning, with floodwaters currently impacting Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and Cooper Creek regions.
