Adelaide weather forecast for Sunday June 1st and the days ahead

As we step into the start of winter, Adelaide continues to experience varied weather patterns.

As we step into the start of winter, Adelaide continues to experience varied weather patterns, according to the latest update from the Bureau of Meteorology. Residents will see a mix of cloudy and rainy days with bursts of sunshine over the next week.

Starting from today, the forecast for Adelaide shows a maximum temperature of 19 degrees with partially cloudy skies. The chances of rain remain minimal at 5%. The northern to northeasterly winds in the area are expected to shift from north to northwesterly around midday before settling down by late afternoon.

As we move into Monday, the temperature will see a slight increase to a maximum of 20 degrees. The day will largely remain partly cloudy. There is a slight chance of showers towards the evening, with overall rain probabilities set at 30%. The day will start with light winds which are predicted to pick up speed from the north, later veering northwest.

Tuesday is expected to take a wetter turn. Temperatures will cool down, ranging from a low of 11 degrees to a high of 17 degrees. It will be a cloudy day with a high chance of showers, particularly in the morning. Southerly winds in the morning will slow and become lighter toward the evening.

The next few days will see temperatures varying between lows of 6 degrees and highs up to 19 degrees, with different types of weather each day. From mostly sunny spells to showers, Adelaide’s residents will need to be prepared for rapidly changing conditions.

In other parts of South Australia, the weather situation involves a high pressure system moving eastwards from Victoria across the Tasman Sea. This will affect the state from today onwards, with isolated light showers in the west and morning frost and fog patches around the north and east. As we progress into the week, the forecast indicates showers across the state with varying impact, more predominantly from Thursday through to Saturday.

Weather warnings have been issued by the Bureau of Meteorology for specific regions in South Australia. The Riverland forecast district is currently under a frost warning, with temperatures forecast to drop to as low as -1 degrees. A flood warning has been issued for the Inland Rivers SA, affecting areas around the Warburton River and Cooper Creek.
