Residents of Adelaide and broader South Australia are advised to prepare for varied weather conditions in the coming days, according to the Bureau of Meteorology. This weekend concludes with partly cloudy skies, giving way to a mixed bag of weather over the next several days.
Starting Sunday, 16 March, Adelaide will experience cloudy skies with a high chance of showers, particularly in the morning. Possible thunderstorms are forecasted around the hills and southern suburbs. Temperatures will range from a minimum of 21°C to a maximum of 26°C. Southerly winds will increase throughout the day, potentially reaching speeds of 25 to 40 km/h in the early afternoon.
Conditions will improve slightly on Monday, 17 March, with partly cloudy skies and a significant drop in temperature, with an expected maximum of 24°C and a minimum of 14°C. The winds will calm, turning southeasterly before dawn.
The weather is set to clear up further on Tuesday, 18 March, with sunny skies and temperatures ranging between 13°C and 27°C. Similar conditions will prevail on Wednesday, with temperatures continuing to rise, reaching up to 31°C.
A Warning to Sheep Graziers is in effect for the Flinders and North East Pastoral forecast districts due to cold temperatures and strong southeasterly winds expected on Monday. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Additionally, a Road Weather Alert for Adelaide has been issued due to the possibility of slippery roads following showers. The SA Police urge drivers to slow down, maintain a safe distance from other vehicles, and turn on headlights.
On the marine front, a Strong Wind Warning is in effect for several areas including Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, Spencer Gulf, and Gulf St Vincent among others. Boaters are advised to check the latest Coastal Waters Forecast for wind, wave, and weather conditions in the mentioned coastal zones.
Lastly, a severe Heatwave Warning continues for parts of South Australia, including the West Coast and Lower Eyre Peninsula.
