Adelaide can expect a mostly sunny day today with temperatures peaking at 17 degrees, with forecast for the next few days showing changing weather patterns.
Throughout today, you can expect mild weather with a slight chance of morning fog. Winds are predicted to be light, becoming northerly from 15 to 20 km/h around the middle of the day before easing in the early afternoon.
As we head into Friday, the forecast suggests partly cloudy skies with a minimum of 10 degrees and a warmer maximum of 19 degrees. The chance of showers increases slightly, particularly around the hills and southern suburbs.
The weather will take a turn on Saturday with showers expected. Minimum and maximum temperatures will hover around 10 degrees and 17 degrees. The chance of rain is high at 80%, most likely occurring in the afternoon and evening. Winds will shift from north to northeasterly and may reach speeds of 15 to 25 km/h.
Sunday’s weather will cool down further, with the thermometer dipping to a minimum of 9 degrees and a maximum of 15 degrees. Showers are forecast, though they are expected to be lighter than Saturday’s. The next few days will continue this trend, with temperatures gradually decreasing and showers persisting until at least Wednesday.
For broader weather warnings, the Bureau of Meteorology has issued a frost warning for the Mid North, Riverland, Murraylands, Upper South East, and Lower South East forecast districts. Ground-level temperatures could drop to -1 degrees on Thursday morning for these areas.
A strong wind warning is also in place for the Far West Coast for Friday, which could impact marine activities.
For those near the state’s inland rivers, particularly the Warburton River and Cooper Creek, a flood warning remains in effect. Although floodwaters are receding slowly, certain areas may still experience impacts, including road and access track closures.
