Adelaide weather forecast for Thursday June 12th and the days ahead

Adelaide will see cold rainy conditions over the weekend and into next week.

Adelaide is expected to have moderately cool days ahead, according to the latest forecast from the Bureau of Meteorology. Today’s maximum temperature is expected to reach around 18 degrees, with partly cloudy skies.

Friday will see mostly sunny skies with a slight increase in temperature, with a high of 18 degrees after a cooler morning of 7 degrees. On Saturday, the weather takes a turn as showers are forecasted, with a slight drop in temperature at a high of 16 degrees and a low of 8 degrees. The showers are likely to continue into Sunday, with similar temperature conditions.

The rain is expected to continue into next week, with showers predicted for Monday and likely to persist through to Wednesday. Temperatures throughout are expected to range between 16 degrees and 17 degrees.

In South Australia, this weekend’s weather conditions are influenced by a series of atmospheric systems. A low-pressure system is moving across the Eyre Peninsula and is expected to continue northeast, with the region bracing for showers and possible thunderstorms throughout Thursday. A high-pressure system following closely behind will bring a brief relief on Friday before another cold front arrives on Saturday, bringing showers predominantly to the coastal areas.

The western and central parts of South Australia will also face wet conditions with expected showers and potential thunderstorms near Kangaroo Island and the Eyre Peninsula. Windward coasts and ranges may receive higher rainfall amounts.

The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a Gale Warning for the Far West Coast, while a Strong Wind Warning is in place for the Upper West Coast. The Flood Warning remains in effect for the inland rivers of South Australia. Areas around the Warburton River and Cooper Creek are experiencing elevated water levels, which could impact local travel and access.
