For the rest of the week and into the weekend, Adelaide can expect to see a continuation of cooler weather with minimal rainfall in the coming days, according to the latest forecasts from the Bureau of Meteorology.
Adelaide will experience a mix of sunny and cloudy days. Today the temperature will reach 19 degrees with partly cloudy skies. The trend continues into the weekend with sunny weather expected on Friday and Saturday, both days seeing highs of 19 degrees and overnight lows of 9 degrees.
A slight shift in weather is expected on Sunday, as the temperatures are set to reach 22 degrees. There might be a shower or two throughout the day as well. The following Monday and Tuesday will see further showers with maximum temperatures dropping to 18 degrees on Monday and down to 15 degrees by Tuesday.
The current weather conditions are influenced by a high-pressure system over the eastern states, which is slowly moving eastward to be in the Tasman Sea by the weekend. This system will continue to extend a ridge over South Australia for the remainder of the week and into the early weekend, maintaining a northerly airstream. A cold front is expected to pass over the western and southern parts of the state on Sunday.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a flood warning for the inland rivers of South Australia. This includes significant river flow into Kati Thanda-Lake Eyre and elevated creek levels along Cooper Creek affecting areas such as Walkers Crossing and Coongie Lakes.
