For the rest of the week and into the weekend, Adelaide will see a combination of cloudy and clearer skies. Today, temperatures are expected to reach a maximum of 18 degrees with cloudy skies, but as the week progresses, clearer conditions are expected.
Tomorrow, will see a minimum of 9 degrees with cloud clearing to reach a maximum of 18 degrees. The weekend begins slightly cooler on Saturday with a minimum of 6 degrees, and the skies will be partly cloudy throughout the day, reaching a maximum of 19 degrees. As June kicks off on Sunday, Adelaide will see mostly sunny weather with temperatures warming slightly to a minimum of 8 degrees and a maximum of 20 degrees.
In the broader South Australian forecast for the coming week, the region will mostly experience below-average temperatures, particularly in the north. Patchy fog and isolated frost are expected in the south, while the far north may also see patchy fog in the early days. From Monday to Wednesday, showers are predicted to extend from the southern parts across to the west and further east as the week progresses.
The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a flood warning for Inland Rivers SA, including the Warburton River at Poothapoota Waterhole and Cooper Creek at Cullyamurra Waterhole. Elevated creek and river levels are reported with slow falls, which may affect road access and river crossings, particularly around the Warburton River and Cooper Creek areas.
For the rest of South Australia, the cumulative rainfall up to the end of Sunday is expected to be less than 2 mm in southern areas, with the far north potentially receiving up to 10 mm. As part of routine preparedness, those living or working near rivers and streams are encouraged to monitor weather forecasts and any further warnings issued.
